Relaxation through Breathing

Relaxation though proper breathing is one key to get our mind and body out of stress. To be able to learn how to put our body into its natural state and that is without stress, first step is about proper breathing.

Being able to breathe deeply will calm and energize the body. First minutes of proper and careful breathing will at first give a hyper energy, not nervous. This kind of energy is what we needed. Go on steady and slow. This breathing will surely give a connection, a message to the rest of our body and that is Be Calm.

5 Minutes Break: Breathing

First step, Sit, spine straight as possible. Relax. You can use a chair but do not slump. Keep your feet flat on the floor. Keep your knees directly over the center of our feet. If you feel uneasy and if they do not rest comfortably on the floor, you can use a book or cushion for this. Place your hands on the top of your legs. Relax.

Close your eyes.

Be aware and think of your ribs. At the front, at the back, at the sides. Think about your lungs behind those ribs.

As you breathe, imagine that your lungs are filling up. Feel the movement of your lungs you fill and empty it as your breathe. Breathe slowly and don’t push your breathing.

Exercising this kind of breathing for the first time, you only need to do it for 2 to 3 minutes. After which you can do it for up to 5 to 10 minutes. Set aside some time at least once a day to do this. When you finally learn how good it makes you feel, you'll want to do it at other times as well.

You can always do this breathing whenever there is a stressful situation that is on your way. Relax for a few minutes.
